According to the service scope and its position and role in the national road network, it is divided into:
1. National highways (national highways), including highways and major arteries;
2. Provincial roads (regional highways);
3. County and township roads (local highways);
4. Urban roads.
The first three types are collectively referred to as highways, which can be further divided into five technical levels based on the annual average day and night automobile traffic volume, usage tasks, and nature.
