Geotechnical tests are basic tests, including moisture content tests, liquid plastic limits, particle analysis and geocompaction tests. The moisture content test is used to determine whether the trench backfill, subgrade compaction, and bridge abutment backfill need to be added with water or dried, and to determine the natural water content of sand and stone, and to adjust the construction mix ratio of concrete. Particle analysis test is a method to determine the percentage of the total mass of the soil occupied by various particle groups in dry soil, so as to understand the particle size distribution, classification of soil and rough judgment of soil engineering properties and material selection.
